The Downside

WhatsApp has faced a major backlash in recent months after updating its privacy policy while expanding its business messaging tools. Confusing many users who were concerned that it meant their data would be shared with Facebook.

Remember earlier on. WhatsApp had stated that if you do not accept the privacy policy on May 15, your account will be deleted. Well, they rescinded the decision. WhatsApp also told Delhi High Court on that it is not forcing any user to accept the 2021 update in its privacy policy as it is not mandatory. It said that users will have a choice whether to accept the 2021 update, or they can choose not to do so, and are free to delete their WhatsApp accounts at any time.

However, you won’t be able to access your chat lists or make calls on the platform. Facebook has also been grappling with data privacy and transparency. Which has been going on for quite some time.

Recent findings also prove that Facebook also is releasing new tools around its WhatsApp messaging app and service, which will be used by more than 175 million people daily to contact business-connected WhatsApp accounts, according to the announcement.

“We’ve cut down the time it takes for businesses to get started on the WhatsApp Business API. By reducing the onboarding process from weeks to just five minutes,”

the announcement stated.
