The Eastern Region had the second-highest number of attendees with 11 MPs, followed by the Northern Region and Greater Accra, each with nine MPs. The festival celebrated the Golden Stool and paid homage to past kings and noble feats.

It was expected that traditional priests and priestesses would thrill the crowd with dances, and the atmosphere would be charged as a result of the special personalities in attendance.

Dr. Bawumia and his wife, Samira Bawumia, attended the festival wearing splendid Kente cloth. Prior to the festival, the MPs traveled with Dr. Bawumia to Kpembe to attend the funeral of the late Lepowura Alhaji MND Jawula in long buses.

Over 40 MPs, including the Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, were seen seated in a bus from the Tamale Airport to Kpembe in the Savannah Region, interacting with the Vice President.
