Former Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama, has proclaimed himself as the chosen leader who will restore Ghana to its rightful place, drawing comparisons to the biblical saviour, Moses.

Speaking about his political aspirations in 2024, Mahama stated that his only motivation is to save Ghana, which he believes has been damaged by the current administration led by President Nana Addo.
Mahama, who has been actively involved in Ghanaian politics for decades, stated that he would have retired long ago if not for his desire to lead Ghana to a place of growth, development, and prosperity. He emphasized that his ultimate goal is to be the leader who will deliver the country to the promised land.
Moreover, Mahama has pledged that a future National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration will prioritize the completion of existing projects over embarking on new ones, given the current economic crisis.
He stated that by the time the NDC takes over in 2025, the country will still be grappling with a constrained fiscal space as a result of the challenging economic conditions. Therefore, the focus will be on taking stock of all the unfinished and abandoned projects and dedicating the available resources to complete them.
Mahama’s vision for Ghana’s future is grounded in the belief that his leadership can help steer the country towards economic prosperity and a better future for all citizens. However, whether or not Mahama’s promises will materialize remains to be seen, and only time will tell if his vision for Ghana will be realized.
